WHAT TO EXPECT

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our office. Hopefully you are here because you have heard of our reputation for being different. We are different in a good way.

Our office is known for being a friendly, casual place where people come to get healthy. Our staff are kind and considerate. They will do their utmost to make your experience here a good one.

Initial Consultation

Your initial consultation will take about 30 minutes. You may need to have some X-rays taken, to aid in diagnosing problems.

You will need the following things if you have them:

  • Any private health insurance cover cards
  • X-rays and/or medical tests that you have previous done
  • Medications you are taking or have been taking
  • Notes from previous health professionals

The more information you can provide, the better we will be able to help you and understand your needs.
You may be given some minor adjustments, soft tissue work and joint/muscle mobilizations to relieve acute symptoms or to ascertain what approach needs to be taken in the future.
We offer health cover rebates (HICAPS) on the spot so you just need to bring your card with you each time you visit.

X-Ray and/or Extended Visit (second visit)

If you require X-rays, you will be referred to our local Medical Imaging Centre (just 2 mins around the corner).
These x-rays are 100% bulk billed on Medicare so you will need your Medicare Card.
During the second visit the results from the X-rays and examination findings from your first visit will be explored in depth.
It is important that you understand exactly what is wrong and what you can do to fix it.
It is also good time to raise any other questions you may have about your health or lifestyle.
This visit is when you will usually have your first set of adjustments and soft tissue treatments based on these preliminary findings

Report of Findings (third visit)

This is where David will discuss your options regarding your treatment and propose a care plan or program to correct the problem and to get the best results for you.
Regular corrective care will start here and the frequency of your visits will depend on the severity of your condition and your own personal situation.
As you make good progress, your visits will need to be less frequent, as your body heals and gets used to being properly aligned.

Ongoing Visits

In order to achieve the results you are after, you may need to come again several times, to correct any subluxations in your spine and reach a stage of wellness or maintenance care.
The process of correcting the spine is like getting braces for your teeth. Instant relief may be achieved after one visit, but to properly correct the problem your time and patience is required, just as it would be to straighten your teeth.
